‘100 Day Action Plan’ launched by Manipur government

IMPHAL, Manipur: Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh, on June 13, introduced a slew of developmental schemes and projects under the ‘100 Day Action Plan’, launched from the City Convention Centre.

CM Singh laid the foundation of various schemes with an estimated cost of up to Rs 211 crores. Apart from that, several developmental projects worth Rs 176.72 crores were inaugurated by the CM, who also distributed financial assistance of nearly Rs 3.28 crores and laid the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 19 crores. The state government will also spend Rs 11.50 crores, to impart training to the people.

25 Veterinary hospitals and 58 dispensaries, established under the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), were virtually inaugurated. CM Singh also laid the foundation of two new government IITs under the Enhancing Skill Development Infrastructure (ESDI) at Noney and the other under the Labour Department at Pherzawl. Additionally, four 2×5 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA), 33/11 kV Sub-Station to come up at Wangjing, Leimapokpam in Bishnupur District, Heirok in Thoubal District and Hiyangthang in Imphal West and Heingang in Imphal East.

CM Singh also distributed benefits to 16,000 beneficiaries of the Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme and also to 10,000 beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Widow Pension Scheme.

Under the Blue Revolution, fish hatcheries have been established at Nambol, a Re-circulatory Aquaculture System at Imphal West and Water and Soil testing kits were provided to the fish farmers. In addition to that, the tourism policy of Manipur and calendar were also launched.

CM Singh also inaugurated 15 roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), 475 wells under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana (PMKSY), Har Khet Ko Pani – Ground Water under the Minor Irrigation, announced the establishment of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy under Manipur Technical University and 50 schools under the Education Department of State.

He also declared that after the culmination of the ‘100 Day Action Plan’ the state government will unveil their targets for the next year.
